Mormon Temple Changes And How The Evil And Offensive Death Penalties Have Evolved From Brutal To Now Non-Existent

Well, I've been wanting to write this post for a long time and the time has come. I guess it's time to mock God openly and officially break my temple secrecy vows that I made to never ever reveal these "secret and sacred" things. Of course, it helps to know that it's all bogus!! And no, I'm not going to and I wouldn't rather, slit my throat from ear to ear as the Mormon Church made me promise to do before 1990. Gee, and people wonder if this is a cult!! REALLY?!! Is there really any question?!! For those out there that are reading this and wondering if the Mormon Church is a cult, you won't have to wonder anymore after this post.

Even you "TBM's" out there have to admit that what I'm about to share is very disturbing, offensive and evil but is really what the Mormon Church actually did in the temple. I will now give you all a link where you can actually listen to the entire ceremony as it was recorded right in the temple so that you can hear them for yourself. I know without a doubt what was in the ceremony up until 1990 because I went through at least 15 times. So, no one, I repeat no one, can tell me what I experienced and what I'm about to say, is a lie or not true.

Those of you that don't believe it, are simply either in deep denial, brain-washed, confused or just lost in the mind-numbing cult called Mormonism!! The facts are there, there have been great books written and I just gave you a link where you can go read it and even listen to it. For those of you that are still hedging or "TBM's", don't worry, God will not punish you for reading or listening to the temple ceremony. Why you ask? Because it never came from God in the first place and the oaths and Promises that you make in the temple, are just to men or nobody, not to God.

Anyway, I will continue on now. I will be as thorough as I can and share what I consider to be the most important changes and of course the penalties. For those that have already seen this, it will confirm it for you and for those that haven't seen this, that went through the temple after the changes in 1990, you'll be stunned and shocked. Every time that I read these evil penalties that I once agreed to, I'm still sickened and stunned that I ever went along with it, along side my Mom and Dad, friends and other Family members. We all agreed together, in the temple, that we would rather slit our throat, cut out our hearts and cut open our stomach than to reveal "the secrets" of the temple. It's just sick!! What a demented fraud the Mormon Church is and what a cult!!

I'm not sure how the Church has been able to overcome this but I want to help get this information out there. Also, everyone that reads this, feel free to copy this and share it with the world. Post it on your blogs, email it to your "TBM" friends. Let's get the truth out there more and more everyday!! The sites that I reference, especially the Tanner's have done so much but we have to keep doing it and spreading it like wildfire so that everyone can know it.

Okay, here we go.....

I'm going to begin with the 1931 ceremony. For those that want to study more about 1845/46 Nauvoo Endowment or the 1879 version, it is included on the page that I will give you as a link at the end of this post.

Here is where people are given their last Chance to back out if they want to from the 1931 ceremony:

And here I would ask if any of you desire to retire at this stage of the proceedings. If so, you have now an opportunity to do so by raising the right hand-No hands raised; very well.

Now the first token of the Aaronic Priesthood and it's penalty:

FIRST TOKEN OF AARONIC PRIESTHOOD

Adam: You will now arise, push back the seats, place the robe on the right shoulder, put on your caps and moccasins, and receive the first token of the Aaronic priesthood. And you will not forget that the utmost secrecy is to be observed with respect to these proceedings. They are not to be even spoken of to each other.

The left arm is here placed at the square, palm to the front, the right hand and arm raised to the neck, holding the palm downwards and thumb under the right ear.

Adam: We, and each of us, covenant and promise that we will not reveal any of the secrets of this, the first token of the Aaronic priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign or penalty. Should we do so, we agree that our throats be cut from ear to ear and our tongues torn out by their roots.

Adam: All bow your heads and say Yes.

As the last words are spoken the right hand is drawn swiftly across the throat and the hands dropped from the square to the sides.

Now the second token of the Aaronic Priesthood and it's penalty:

Peter: The brethren and sisters will now stand, push back the seats, place the robe on the left shoulder, and receive the Second Token of the Aaronic Priesthood. We and each of us do covenant and promise that we will not reveal the secrets of this, the Second Token of the Aaronic Priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign, grip or penalty. Should we do so, we agree to have our breasts cut open and our hearts and vitals torn from our bodies and given to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field. All bow your heads and say yes.

The Sign is made by placing the left arm on the square at the level of the shoulder, placing the right hand across the chest with the thumb extended and then drawing it rapidly from left to right and dropping it to the side.

The Name is the given name of the candidate.

The Grip is given by clasping the hand and pressing the thumb in the hollow between the first and second knuckles of the hand.

Now the First token of the Melchizedek Priesthood and it's penalty:

FIRST TOKEN MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD

Peter: The brethren and Sisters will now stand, push back the seats, place the robe on the right shoulder, and receive the First Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood.

The Sign is made by bringing both hands to the square, palms to the front.

Peter: We and each of us do covenant and promise that we will not reveal any of the secrets of this, the First Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign or penalty. Should we do so, we agree that our bodies be cut asunder in the midst and all our bowels gush out.

Peter: All bow your heads and say yes.

As the last words are spoken the hands are dropped till the thumbs are in the center of the stomach and drawn swiftly across the stomach to the hips, and then dropped to the sides.

The Name of this token is the Son, meaning the Son of God. Members of the Melchizedek Priesthood belong to the Order of the Son of God.

The Grip is given by placing the thumb on back of hand and the tip of forefinger in the center of palm, representing the piercing of the hand by a nail. It is called The Sign of the Nail.

Now the second token of the Melchizedek Priesthood and their is no Penalty but reminds everyone that God will no be mocked:

SECOND TOKEN MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD

Peter: The brethren and sisters will now stand, push back the seats, place the robe upon the left shoulder, and receive the Second Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood

There is no penalty attached to this, but we are told the obligation of secrecy is the same, for God will not be mocked.

The Sign is made by elevating both arms above the head to represent the crucifixion. The word Pale is spoken, the arms dropped to the square, Hale, and then to the sides. Hale -thus- Pale, Hale, Hale.

The Grip is made by grasping the hand, the forefinger on center of wrist and little fingers locked. There is a tradition that when our Saviour was crucified, the nail drew out between the fingers with the weight of his body, and the executioner then drove the nail through the wrist for better security. This Grip is called the Patriarchal Grip or Sure Sign of the Nail.

The following obligations are now taken with the right arm at the square:

Now, some of the different laws that were covered:

LAW OF SACRIFICE

You and each of you do covenant and promise that you will sacrifice your time, talents and all you may now or hereafter become possessed of to the upbuilding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ' All bow your heads and say yes.

LAW OF CHASTITY FOR MEN

You and each of you do covenant and promise that you will not have sexual intercourse with any of the opposite sex except your lawful wife or wives who are given you by the holy priesthood. All bow your heads and say yes.

LAW FOR WOMEN

You and each of you do covenant and promise that you will not have sexual intercourse with any of the opposite sex save your lawful husband, given you by the holy priesthood. All bow your heads and say yes.

LAW OF VENGEANCE

You and each of you do solemnly promise and vow that you will pray, and never cease to pray, and never cease to importune high heaven to avenge the blood of the prophets on this nation, and that you will teach this to your children and your children's children unto the third and fourth generation. All bow your heads and say yes.

Now, this is a right toward the end of the ceremony and right before passing through the veil and includes the five points of fellowship that has now been removed:

Endowee: The second token of the Melchizedek Priesthood - The Patriarchal Grip or Sure Sign of the Nail.

Lord: Has it a name?

Endowee: It has.

Lord: Will you give it to me?

Endowee: I can not for I have not yet received it. For this purpose I have come to converse with the Lord behind the veil.

Lord: You shall receive it upon the five points of fellowship through the veil. These are, foot to foot, knee to knee, breast to breast, hand to back, and mouth to ear.

The five points of fellowship are given by putting the inside of the right foot to the inside of the Lord's, the inside of your knee to his, laying your breast close to his, your left hands on each other's backs, and each one putting his mouth to the other's ear, in which position the Lord whispers:

Lord: This is the sign of the token: Health to the navel, marrow in the bones, strength in the loins and sinews, and power in the priesthood be upon me and my posterity through all generations of time and throughout all eternity.

Lord: (Without changing position) What is this?

Endowee: (Answering as before) The second token of the Melchizedek Priesthood.

Whereupon the candidate, taught by the Lord, repeats the formula which has been whispered in his ear.

Lord: That is correct.

The Endowee is then taken to the opening by the attendant, who gives three more raps with the mallet.

Lord: What is wanted?

Attendant- Adam, having conversed with the Lord through the veil, now desires to enter his presence.

Lord: Admit him.

As he says this he extends his hand and welcomes the candidate into the Glory Room. He is now the lord over his women and the three raps being again sounded, the man having assumed the part and place of the Lord, asks the female attendant what is wanted.

Attendant: Eve having been true and faithful in all things desires to converse with the Lord through the veil.

Lord or man: See that her garments are properly marked, present her at the veil and her request shall be granted.

And so on over the same ground again, save that it is Eve in place of Adam who must be tested for admission.

Here was a quote by Brigham Young after Joseph Smith's death and how and why the Law of Vengeance came to be:

... Brigham raised his hand and said, "I swear by the eternal Heavens that I have unsheathed my sword, and I will never return it until the blood of the Prophet Joseph and Hyrum, and those who were slain in Missouri, is avenged. This whole nation is guilty of shedding their blood, by assenting to the deed, and holding its peace." ... Furthermore, every one who had passed through their endowments, in the Temple, were placed under the most sacred obligations to avenge the blood of the Prophet, whenever an opportunity offered, and to teach their children to do the same, thus making the entire Mormon people sworn and avowed enemies of the American nation (The Confessions of John D. Lee, p.160).

According to the Tanners, the law of vengeance was removed in 1827, so it appears that it most likely wasn't in the 1931 ceremony as posted above but everything else was the same.


Now, let's move to the 1984 ceremony. Now I'm not really clear on this, but did the 1931 ceremony stay the same until 1984? It appears that it did but I still need to research this and find out. I can't imagine that it would, with those graphic penalties but I'm not sure when it changed between 1931 and 1984. Then again, the Mormon Church is so slow to change that it is very possible. If those of you out there remember going through the temple before 1984, like in the 70's, please email me and tell me what you remember.

Now, we will move onto the 1984 ceremony for review:

Here was their chance to back out plus their new name:

You have had a New Name given unto you, which you were told never to divulge, nor forget. This New Name is a keyword which you will be required to give at a certain place in the temple today. The Endowment is to prepare you for exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom.

If you proceed and receive your full endowment, you will be required to take upon yourselves sacred obligations, the violation of which will bring upon you the judgment of God; for God will not be mocked. If any of you desire to withdraw rather than accept these obligations of your own free will and choice, you may now make it known by raising your hand.

The Law of Sacrifice:

THE LAW OF SACRIFICE

ELOHIM: Brethren and sisters, you are about to be put under covenant to obey and keep the Law of Sacrifice, as contained in the Old and New Testament. This Law of Sacrifice was given to Adam in the garden of Eden, who, when he was driven out of the garden, built an alter on which he offered sacrifices; and after many days, an angel of the Lord appeared unto Adam, saying: "Why dost thou offer sacrifice unto the Lord?" And Adam said unto him: "I know not, save the Lord commanded me." And then the angel spake saying: "This thing is a similitude of the sacrifice of the Only Begotten of the Father, which is full of grace and truth. Wherefore, thou shalt do all that thou dost in the name of the Son, and thou shalt repent, and call upon God in the name of the Son forevermore."

The posterity of Adam down to Moses, and from Moses to Jesus Christ offered up the first fruits of the field, and the firstlings of the flock, which continued until the death of Jesus Christ, which ended sacrifice by the shedding of blood. And as Jesus Christ has laid down his life for the redemption of mankind, so we should covenant to sacrifice all that we possess, even our own lives if necessary, in sustaining and defending the Kingdom of God.

All arise. Each of you bring your right arm to the square. You and each of you solemnly covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this alter that you will observe and keep the Law of Sacrifice, as contained in the Old and New Testament, as it has been explained to you. Each of you bow your head and say "yes."

PATRONS: Yes.

ELOHIM: That will do.

(patrons resume their seats.)

The First token of the Aaronic Priesthood and the penalties:


ELOHIM: If any of you have not received this token, you will please raise your hand.

The name of this token is the New Name that you received in the temple today. If any of you have forgotten the New Name, please stand.

The sign is made by bringing the right arm to the square, the palm of the hand to the front, the fingers close together, and the thumb extended.

(The Officiator, again at the altar, demonstrates the sign and penalty as the descriptions are given.)

ELOHIM: This is the sign. The execution of the Penalty is represented by placing the thumb under the left ear, the palm of the hand down, and by drawing the thumb quickly across the throat to the right ear, and dropping the hand to the side.

I will now explain the covenant and obligation of secrecy which are associated with this token, its name, sign and penalty, and which you will be required to take upon yourselves. If I were receiving my own Endowment today, and had been given the name of "John" as my New Name, I would repeat in my mind these words, after making the sign at the same time representing the execution of the penalty:

I, John, covenant that I will never reveal the First Token of the Aaronic Priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign, and penalty. Rather than do so, I would suffer my life to be taken.

(The Officiator demonstrates the execution of the penalty.)

Here was the law of the Gospel:

THE LAW OF THE GOSPEL

PETER: A couple will now come to the altar. (Witness couple comes to altar as before.) Brethren and sisters, this couple at the altar represent all of you as if at the altar, and you will be under the same obligations as they will be. We are required to give unto you the Law of the Gospel as contained in the Book of Mormon and the Bible; to give unto you also a charge to avoid all light mindedness, loud laughter, evil speaking of the Lord's anointed, the taking of the name of God in vain, and every other unholy and impure practice, and to cause you to receive these by covenant.

All arise. (All patrons stand.) Each of you bring your right arm to the square. (this is done.)

You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you will observe and keep the Law of the Gospel and this charge as it has been explained to you. Each of you bow your head and say "yes."

PATRONS: Yes.

PETER: That will do. (All patrons sit down.)



Now, the second token of the Aaronic Priesthood and it's penalty:

PETER: If any of you have not received this token, you will please raise your hand. The name of this token is your own first given name if you are going through the temple for your own Endowment, or, if you are going through for the dead, it is the first given name of the person for whom you are officiating.

The sign is made by bringing the right hand in front of you, with the hand in cupping shape, the right arm forming a square, and the left arm being raised to the square. This is the sign. (The officiator demonstrates.) The Execution of the Penalty is represented by placing the right hand on the left breast, drawing the hand quickly across the body, and dropping the hands to the sides. I will now explain the covenant and obligation of secrecy which are associated with this token, its name, sign, and penalty, and which you will be required to take upon yourselves.

If I were receiving my own endowment today, and if my first given name were "David," I would repeat in my mind those words, after making the sign, at the same time representing the Execution of the Penalty:

I, David, covenant, that I will never reveal the Second Token of the Aaronic priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign, and penalty. Rather than do so I would suffer my life to be taken.

All arise. (All Patrons stand.) Each of you make the sign of the Second Token of the Aaronic priesthood by bringing the right hand in front of you, with the hand in cupping shape, the right arm forming a square, and the left arm being raised to the square. This is the sign.

Now, repeat in your mind after me the words of the covenant, at the same time representing the Executing of the Penalty.

I, _________, think of the first given name, covenant, that I will never reveal the second Token of the Aaronic Priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign, and penalty. Rather than do so, I would suffer my life to be taken. That will do.

The law of chastity:
THE LAW OF CHASTITY

PETER: A couple will now come to the altar. (Witness Couple comes as before.) We are instructed to give unto you the law of Chastity; this I will explain. To the sisters it is, that no one of you will have sexual intercourse except with your husband to whom you are legally and lawfully wedded. To the brethren it is that no one of you will have sexual intercourse except with your wife to whom you are legally and lawfully wedded.

Sisters please arise. (All women stand up.) Each of you bring your right arm to the square. You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar that you will observe and keep the Law of Chastity, as it has been explained to you. Each of you bow your head and say "yes."

SISTERS: Yes.

PETER: That will Do. (All women sit down.) Brethren, please arise. (All men stand up.) Each of you bring your right arm to the square. You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar that you will observe and keep the Law of Chastity, as it has been explained to you. Each of you bow your head and say "yes."

BRETHREN: Yes.

PETER: That will do. (All men sit down.)

Now, here is the FIRST TOKEN OF THE MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD OR SIGN OF THE NAIL and the penalty:
PETER: If any of you have not received this token, you will please raise your hand. Then name of this token is "the Son", meaning the Son of God.

The sign is made by bringing the left hand in front of you with the hand in cupping shape, the left arm forming a square; the right hand is also brought forward, the palm down, the fingers close together, the thumb extended, and the thumb is placed over the left hip. (The Officiator makes the sign.) This is the sign. The penalty is represented by drawing the thumb quickly across the body and dropping the hands to the sides. (Officiator completes the action.)

I will now explain the covenant and obligation of secrecy which are associated with this token, its name, sign and penalty, and which you will be required to take upon yourselves. If I were receiving the Endowment today, either for myself or for the dead, I would repeat in my mind these words, after making the sign, at the same time representing the execution of the Penalty:

I covenant in the name of the Son that I will never reveal the First Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood or Sign of the Nail, with its accompanying name, sign and penalty. Rather than do so, I would suffer my life to be taken.

All arise (All patrons stand.) Each of you make the sign of the First Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood or Sign of the Nail by brining the left hand in front of you with the hand in cupping shape, the left arm forming a square; also by bringing the right hand forward, the palm down, the fingers close together, the thumb extended, and by placing the thumb over the left hip. This is the sign.

Now repeat in your mind after me the words of the covenant, at the same time representing the Execution of the Penalty:

I covenant in the name of the Son that I will never reveal the First Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood or Sign of the Nail, with its accompanying name, sign and penalty. Rather than do so, I would suffer my life to be taken.

(Patrons perform the action as the Officiator guides them.)

That will do. (All patrons sit down.)

Now here was THE LAW OF CONSECRATION.

PETER: A couple will now come to the alter. (The Witness couple comes forward, and kneels at the altar as before.) We are instructed to give unto you the Law of Consecration as contained in the book of Doctrine and Covenants (The Officiator picks up a copy of the Doctrine and Covenants from the altar, and holds it up in view of all patrons.), in connection with the Law of the Gospel and the Law of Sacrifice which you have already received. It is that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents and everything which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion.

All arise. (All patrons stand.) Each of you bring your right arm to the square.

You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the Law of Consecration as contained in this, (The Officiator holds up a copy of the Doctrine and Covenants again.), the Book of Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion.

Each of you bow your head and say "yes."

PATRONS: Yes.

PETER: That will do. (All patrons sit down.)

Now the SECOND TOKEN OF THE MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD, THE PATRIARCHAL GRIP, OR SURE SIGN OF THE NAIL. Also, it included the chanting of Pay Lay Ale which was removed in 1990 among many things. Again, there is no penalty for revealing this one, so I guess I'm okay...what a relief!!

PETER: We will now give unto you the Second Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood, the Patriarchal Grip, or the Sure Sign of the Nail, with its accompanying sign. This token is given by clasping the right hands, interlocking the little fingers, and placing the tip of the forefinger upon the center of the wrist, in this manner (The Officiator demonstrates this token with male witness.). We desire all to receive it. All arise.

(As the witness couple returns to their seats various temple workers administer the token as before, and each patron sits after receiving it.)

If any of you have not received this token, You will please raise your hand.

This token has a name and a sign, but no penalty is mentioned. However, you will be under just as sacred obligation of secrecy in connection with this token and sign as you are with the other tokens and signs of the Holy Priesthood which you received in the temple this day. The name of this token will not be given unto you at this stage in the Endowment, but it will be given later on.

The sign is made by raising both hands high above the head (The officiator demonstrates.), and while lowering the hands repeating aloud the words:

Pay Lay Ale
Pay Lay Ale
Pay Lay Ale

(The hands are lowered in three distinct movements, one move for each word. [1] Pay--hands above head, [2] Lay--both arms dropped to the square, [3] Ale--both hands lowered to the height of chest.)

PETER: When Adam was driven out of the Garden of Eden, he built an altar and offered prayer, and these are the words that he used, which interpreted are: "Oh God, Hear the words of my mouth!", repeated three times.

All arise. (All patrons stand.) Each of you make the sign of the Second Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood, the Patriarchal Grip, or Sure sign of the Nail, by raising both hands high above the head, and while lowering the hands repeating aloud the words:

Pay Lay Ale Pay Lay Ale Pay Lay Ale

(As the patrons make the sign they repeat words with recording as described before.)

PETER: That will do. (all patrons sit down.) Brethren and sisters, with the robe on the right shoulder you are prepared to be taught the True Order of Prayer; and to be introduced at the Veil.

Now, the 1984 version, still included the Five Points of Fellowship as shown below:

LORD: You shall receive it upon the Five Points of Fellowship, through the Veil.

(The officiator demonstrates the Five Points of Fellowship through the Veil with the temple worker who represents the Lord, as each point is mentioned.)

PETER: The Five Points of Fellowship are "inside of right foot by the side of right foot, knee to knee, breast to breast, hand to back, and mouth to ear." The Lord then gives the name of this token, and asks......

Now there was also a LECTURE AT THE VEIL for those that went through for the first time.

(The following lecture is only given when there are patrons present who are receiving their own Endowments, or when the Endowment room is full, and additional time is needed to present the patron at the Veil.)

Now onto the cleansed, greatly altered Temple ceremony of 1990 that was "revealed"(yeah right) to Gordon B. Hinckley. Of course, that was after a survey that was sent out to high ranking Mormons where they "cut out" the gruesome throat slitting, disemboweling, etc. Amazing that they actually did it until 1990 isn't it? Like I said, they are slow to change. Also, lets keep in mind that this is the so called "inspired" temple ceremony that is supposed to be unchanging and revealed directly from God to Joseph Smith. I guess that would be kind of like Polygamy, Polyandry and Blood Atonement was also revealed directly to Joseph Smith. I think we can see a definite pattern here of a lying deceitful false Prophet and fraud, Joseph Smith.

Anyway, onto the 1990 ceremony and the credit goes to The Tanners for this one:

Here was the statement from the First Presidency that was made in the temple regarding the 1990 changes before the ceremony to those that were going through after the changes had been made:

THE MORMON TEMPLE ENDOWMENT CEREMONY

(1990 VERSION)

INTRODUCTORY ANNOUNCEMENT: Before beginning the Endowment service, we present the following statement from the First Presidency.

FIRST PRESIDENCY'S STATEMENT: Since the temple Endowment was first administered in this dispensation, minor changes have been made from time to time by the First Presidency and Council of the Twelve, acting unitedly in their capacity as Prophets, Seers and Revelators.

After an exacting and extensive review, and following solemn prayer on many occasions in the Upper Room of the Salt Lake Temple, modifications in the Endowment ceremony have been recently made by the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve. Those of you who are familiar with the ceremony will recognize these changes which do not affect the substance of the teachings of the Endowment, nor the covenants associated therewith.

As with the other aspects of the Endowment, you are under solemn obligation not to discuss these sacred matters outside of the temple.

May you be blessed of the Lord in the selfless service which you give in His holy house. Sincerely, the First Presidency.

The law of sacrifice:

ELOHIM: Brethren and sisters, we will now put you under covenant to obey and keep the Law of Sacrifice, as contained in the Holy Scriptures. This Law of Sacrifice was given to Adam in the garden of Eden, who, when he was driven out of the garden, built an altar on which he offered sacrifices; and after many days, an angel of the Lord appeared unto Adam, saying: "Why dost thou offer sacrifices unto the Lord?" Adam said: "I know not, save the Lord commanded me." And then the angel spake saying: "This is a similitude of the sacrifice of the Only Begotten of the Father, who is full of grace and truth. Wherefore, thou shalt do all that thou dost in the name of the Son, and thou shalt repent, and call upon God in the name of the Son forevermore."

The posterity of Adam down to Moses, and from Moses to Jesus Christ offered up the first fruits of the field, and the firstlings of the flock, which continued until the death of Jesus Christ, which ended sacrifice by the shedding of blood. And as Jesus Christ has laid down his life for the redemption of mankind, so we should covenant to sacrifice all that we possess, even our own lives if necessary, in sustaining and defending the Kingdom of God.

Now here is THE FIRST TOKEN OF THE AARONIC PRIESTHOOD with now, amazingly, with no penalty.....God changed his mind I guess. Boy, God sure does get confused doesn't he?


ELOHIM: We will now give unto you the First Token of the Aaronic Priesthood with its accompanying name and sign. Before doing this we desire to impress upon your minds the sacred character of the First Token of the Aaronic Priesthood, with its name and sign, as well as that of all the other tokens of the Holy Priesthood, with their names and signs, which you will receive in the temple this day. They are most sacred, and are guarded by solemn covenants and obligations made in the presence of God, angels and these witnesses to hold them sacred and under no condition will you ever divulge them, except at a certain place in the temple that will be shown you.

The First Token of the Aaronic Priesthood is given by clasping the right hands and placing the joint of the thumb directly over the first knuckle of the hand, in this manner.

(The Officiator, representing Elohim, takes the right hand of the male witness, who represents Adam at the altar, and demonstrates the token. The male witness, who remains kneeling, is obliged to raise his hand above his head while receiving the grip, thus enabling the patrons to view the manner in which the token is to be given.)

The sign is made by bringing the right arm to the square, the palm of the hand to the front, the fingers close together, and the thumb extended. This is the sign.

SECOND TOKEN OF THE AARONIC PRIESTHOOD

PETER: If any of you have not received this token, please raise your hand. The name of this token is your own first given name if you are going through the temple for your own Endowment, or, if you are going through for the dead, it is the first given name of the person for whom you are officiating.

The sign is made by bringing the right hand in front of you, with the hand in cupping shape, the right arm forming a square, and the left arm being raised to the square. This is the sign. (The officiator demonstrates the sign.) I will now explain the covenant and obligation which are associated with this token, its name and sign, which you will be required to take upon yourselves.

The sign is made by bringing the left hand in front of you with the hand in cupping shape, the left arm forming a square; the right hand is also brought forward, the palm down, the fingers close together with the thumb extended. (The Officiator makes the sign.) This is the sign.

I will now explain the covenant and obligation which are associated with this token, its name and sign and which you will be required to take upon yourselves. If I were receiving the Endowment today, either for myself or for the dead, I would repeat in my mind these words, after making the sign:

I solemnly covenant before God, angels, and these witnesses, in the name of the Son that I will never reveal the First Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood or Sign of the Nail, with its accompanying name and sign.

Now the THE LAW OF CONSECRATION:

PETER: A couple will now come to the altar (The Witness couple comes forward, and kneels at the altar as before.) We are instructed to give unto you the Law of Consecration as contained in the book of Doctrine and Covenants (The Officiator picks up a copy of the Doctrine and Covenants from the altar, and holds it up in view of all patrons.), in connection with the Law of the Gospel and the Law of Sacrifice which you have already received. It is that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion.

All arise. (All patrons stand.) Each of you bring your right arm to the square.

You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the Law of Consecration as contained in the Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion.

Now, the SECOND TOKEN OF THE MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD, THE PATRIARCHAL GRIP, OR SURE SIGN OF THE NAIL plus the part where they took out "pay lay ale" and put in "Oh God, hear the words of my mouth."
PETER: We will now give unto you the Second Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood, the Patriarchal Grip, or Sure Sign of the Nail, with its accompanying sign.

This token has reference to the crucifixion of the Savior. When he was placed upon the cross, the crucifiers drove nails through the palms of his hands, then fearing that the weight of his body would cause the nails to tear through the flesh of the hands, they drove nails through his wrists. Hence, in the palm is the Sign of the Nail, and in the wrist is the Sure Sign of the Nail, or the Nail in the Sure place.

This token is given by clasping the right hands, interlocking the little fingers, and placing the tip of the forefinger upon the center of the wrist, in this manner (The Officiator demonstrates this token with male witness.). We desire all to receive it. All arise.

(As the witness couple returns to their seats various temple workers administer the token as before, and each patron sits after receiving it.)

If any of you have not received this token, you will please raise your hand.

This token has a name and a sign. You will be under the same sacred obligation in connection with this token and sign as you are with the other tokens and signs of the Holy Priesthood which you have received in the temple this day. The name of this token will not be given to you at this stage in the Endowment, but it will be given later on.

The sign is made by raising both hands high above the head (The officiator demonstrates), and while lowering the hands repeating aloud the words: "Oh God, hear the words of my mouth!" repeated three times.

PETER: When Adam was driven out of the Garden of Eden, he built an altar and offered prayer, and these are the words that he uttered: "Oh God, Hear the words of my mouth!", repeated three times.

All arise. (All patrons stand.) Each of you make the sign of the Second Token of the Melchizedek Priesthood, the Patriarchal Grip, or Sure Sign of the Nail, by raising both hands high above the head, and while lowering the hands repeating three times the words:

Oh God, hear the words of my mouth!

(As the patrons make the sign they repeat words with the recording as described before.)

PETER: That will do. (all patrons sit down.) With the robe on the right shoulder you are prepared to be taught the True Order of Prayer; and to be introduced at the Veil.

Now, here is a great link showing and exact comparison between the 1984 and 1990 Temple Ceremony with the words that were deleted from 1984, crossed out. They put the new words that were added in 1990 in red. As you'll be able to see, the changes went beyond the penalties and were very very extensive. Entire paragraphs were deleted and other ones added. For the First Presidency to say that the changes were minor, is just another lie in a long list of lies, deceit and cover-ups. I guess they are used to it now after doing it since 1830 and passing it on from one generation to the next. Joseph Smith gave all future General Authorities the perfect example and formula for lies and deception and they have followed it to a T!!

Now, the "lecture at the veil" and the "five points of fellowship" are also gone. Here is a listing of all of the temple changes from the Tanners website.


Summary of Major Changes in the LDS Temple Ritual from 1842-2005

1. Washing and Anointing was changed from being naked and having a full bath to being completely covered by the garment and shield, with symbolic anointing to forehead (see Evolution of the Mormon Temple Ceremony, by Jerald and Sandra Tanner, Utah Lighthouse Ministry, 2005 ed., pp. 39-40; Mysteries of Godliness, p. 32).

2. When the garment was first introduced it was only worn for special occasions. However, in a special meeting of the Quorum of the Anointed in 1845 George A. Smith declared that the garment should be worn "at all times" (Mysteries, p. 146).

3. Originally the garment was made of muslin, one-piece, full length with long sleeves and a collar. In 1916 President Joseph F. Smith emphasized that the garment was never to be altered (Evolution, p. 45, Mysteries, p. 150).

But in 1923 the First Presidency sent a notice to stake and temple presidents announcing that the garment could be modified. The sleeve could now end at the elbow, the leg could be shortened to just below the knee, the collar eliminated and the crotch closed. They could also be made of finer knitted material, even of silk, instead of the coarse, unbleached cotton material that was used originally.

However, the full-length garment was to be worn in the temple. Then in 1975 it became optional and one could elect to wear the shorter garment in the temple. In 1979 the shorter garment was again modified to a two-piece version (see Evolution, pp. 44-47; Mysteries, pp. 138, 142-154).

4. Originally only men participated in the temple ritual. In 1843 women were included (see Mysteries, p. 62).

5. The Second Anointing was added in 1843, in which couples were sealed to become gods (see Mysteries, pp. 62-68, 123).

6. A Christian minister, in clerical outfit, making a bargain with the devil to teach false doctrine was added in the 1850's, then removed in 1990 (see Evolution, pp. 32-33; Mysteries, p. 80 footnote 23).

7. Prior to 1877 the endowment ceremony was only performed for the living. David Buerger writes:

The first recorded endowments for the dead were performed in St. George on 11 January 1877, according to temple president David H. Cannon. Shortly thereafter Wilford Woodruff, the new temple president, received a revelation about endowments and sealings for his dead, which he recorded in his journal . . . Accordingly on 1 March 1877 Woodruff spent his seventieth birthday in the St. George temple with 154 women performing proxy endowments for deceased women who had been or were being sealed to Woodruff (Mysteries, pp. 108-109).

8. Dances were often held in the Nauvoo temple after an endowment session (see Mysteries, pp. 85-6). Parties were sometimes held in the temple. After Wilford Woodruff's sealing to the women mentioned above one hundred people joined him for a Birthday/Wedding party in the St. George temple (see Mysteries, p. 109).

9. In 1894 the Law of Adoption, where a man could have unrelated men sealed to him as his sons, was changed to just sealing those in one's own family (see Evolution, pp. 42-44).

10. Oath of Vengeance against those who killed Joseph Smith was removed in 1927 (see Evolution, p. 22; Mysteries, pp. 133-140).

11. Wording and demonstration of penalties (drawing thumb across throat, heart and bowels) went through several modifications prior to being removed in 1990 (see Evolution, p. 16; Mysteries, pp. 39, 52-54, 141).

12. Chant of "Pay Lay Ale" changed to "Oh God, hear the words of my mouth" in 1990 (see Evolution, p. 36).

13. Mocking of the Christian doctrine of God was removed in 1990 (see Evolution, p. 80).

14. Lecture at the veil delivered at sessions for those taking out their endowments for the first time was removed in 1990 (see Evolution, p. 37; Mysteries, pp. 81, 110-113, 137).

15. Embrace on the Five Points of Fellowship at the veil was removed in 1990 (see Evolution, pp. 29-30; Mysteries, pp. 55, 78, 170).

16. Woman's Oath of Obedience to her husband was modified in 1990 (see Evolution, pp. 33-35).

17. Length of temple ceremony has varied through the years (see Mysteries, p. 80).

Now, here is a link about the changes that were made to the temple ceremony in 2005.

So, for those that have made it to the end, you can see how hideous the ceremony used to be. It went from promising to tear out your tongue by it's roots, to simply pantomiming slitting your throat to nothing. One constant is that they still say that God will not be mocked, etc. I find it amazing that the First Presidency basically plays down the changes, being minor, as not affecting everything and then once again warns you not to discuss it outside of the temple. So much secrecy, so many secrets, etc, is the sure sign of a cult, an evil cult. At least they took out the bloody oaths that never should have been there in the first place.

In conclusion, as I've shown here the temple ceremony has gone through "extensive" changes through the years and are not "minor" in nature. This ceremony was supposed to be a direct revelation from God to Joseph Smith and unchangeable. Well, we can see two things very clearly; the ceremony keeps changing, even as of 2005 and that it is not unchangeable, therefore not a "direct, unchangeable, perfect" revelation from God to Joseph Smith. A perfect God wouldn't have to evolve, right? Come on man!! So God screwed up how many times? Oops he said, I better take that out. So God is just going by trial and error, etc..insane!! The Mormon God would have to be either drunk or stoned to make as many mistakes as he has made. I can't believe that these frauds called Prophets, Seers and Revelators, have been able to get away with this crap for as long as they have.

The Mormon Church is a horrible, awful, mind-controlling, evil cult that used to make people promise to God, angels and his witnesses and Family, that they would rather slit their throats before revealing the secrets of the temple. Is it just me or does anyone else see something wrong with this? You "TBM's" out there, stand up and pay attention to this post!! This is what your "perfect Church" used to teach!! I just hope that by spreading this type of information to the world and to Church members that aren't already aware of it, we can help to continue to chip away at this evil cult called "Mormonism." I just really believe that as more and more of this information gets out to the mainstream, everywhere, that it will have a devastating impact on the Mormon Church and that is my entire point of this post. With the Internet now, we can spread it everywhere quickly!!

Is It Just Me Or Is Anyone Else Glad That BYU Got Their Butts Kicked....

this past Saturday by a bunch of Catholic boys from Boston College, in Provo?!! I'm talking about their football team just in case you weren't watching or aren't a football fan. I used to be the biggest BYU football fan ever, went to the games and had season tickets every year, until their implosion over the last 3 years with Gary Crowton at the helm. I think there is some type of correlation between the Churches collapse and the BYU football teams collapse, at least in my personal life. If anything, it's symbolic. The BYU Football team sucks and the truth about the Mormon Church is everywhere and spreading thanks to the Internet. The Glory days are definitely over!!

This is my first football season no longer being a "TBM" and I realized this past Saturday that I will now actively cheer for BYU to lose every week. I actually thought that I could still cheer for the BYU football team to win even after leaving the Church.

As soon as the kickoff started the game, I was like, "lose, lose,lose" and I realized that I've lost that desire for BYU to ever win again in anything. It was an intense feeling that I had for them to lose. It's nothing against the poor players that are playing there, but once again, against the administration and the Church for destroying something that used to be great!! Until that moment, I wasn't sure how I'd feel.

So, now it's official, I'm no longer a BYU football fan!! I should have known that something was happening last year when I was cheering for Utah to go undefeated and beat BYU. I have hated Utah my whole "TBM" life!! I must have been in denial about what I was feeling but sensed a change was coming!!

The announcer was hilarious too....he called the "Wasatch" mountains, the "satchwatch" mountains. He said how tricky it was to be a coach at BYU because of the BYU mission program and that missions were "mandatory" in the Mormon Church!! In the past I would have been offended and almost felt persecuted that they wouldn't know those things, but today, I just laughed, it was great!! Boy have I changed in the last 3 months!! Gee, Utah Ute football has done pretty well the last couple of years and they have lots of missionaries too? How about BYU just sucks!!

BYU gets what they deserve!! They hired Crowton who sucked and his only credentials were getting fired from everywhere he coached and that he would work for peanuts. Now they hire this guy who had never been a head coach, Bronco Mendenhall and he also will work for peanuts. That's the main requirement for a BYU Football coach, they will work for basically nothing compared to other coaches of big college programs. It's amazing that they can spend 100's of millions on temples, a billion and change on a mall, $30 million on the BYU practice facility, but they can't pay a coach? What losers!! Obviously the Football program is heading in the same direction as the Church, straight down the toilet!!

They deserve to lose and I hope every year from now on they are losers. Man that feels good and empowering to say that!! I must still be going through the healing process...LOL!! So much for BYU being God's team eh? LOL!! I wonder if they actually kneel in prayer in the top room of the temple and ask God who should be their head coach at BYU? If they do, I guess God decided to just mess with them for the last 4 years!! LOL!! Actually God said, "thou shalt Get the coach that will work for the least amount of money." Of course, we know how all of their other "inspiration" is working out. It's just par for the course. BYU Football SUCKS!! YEAH!!

For those of you that are BYU Football fans, don't hold your breath, they are gonna suck for a long time if not forever. The glory days are over in my opinion, never to be seen again, both for the Church itself and for the Football team. Losing breeds losing and after a while, no decent "Mormon" or "Non-Mormon" in their right mind would want to come to BYU to play football. Why do you think Ben Olson transfered to UCLA? He didn't want to throw away all of his pro prospects and future for the Church and a losing program. It would have been career suicide and the end of his football days as it has been for so many talented players the last 4 years. Good for you Ben Olson!!

Now this week, BYU plays the Eastern Illinois Panthers and should blow them out for one of their few wins that they'll have this season. If they lose this one, look out man, they could lose every single game the rest of the season and go 0-11.

Plus, if BYU only has one win at this point and say Utah is undefeated, it would be BYU's SuperBowl and the pressure would be on Utah.

They could pull out a couple of those games somehow but I honestly can't see them winning anymore than 2-3 at the most based on the talent of those other teams. Knowing BYU, the Church and the Moron's running the program, most likely they'll keep Bronco as the coach just because he's cheap. I'm sure he'll at least get 3-4 years in before he is fired. Then they'll just go hire some other bum with no experience who will work for cheap. It's all over in Provo!! The winning traditions are history!!

Now, the only way that this could turn around, is if they actually went out and got a big name possibly even Non-Mormon coach to turn it all around or bring back Norm Chow who they completely screwed over and ran out of town. Norm could turn it around quickly but why the hell would he ever want to come back and do anything for the scoundrels that stuck it to him. My advice to BYU and the Church; if you aren't going to hire a real coach, pay real money, just get rid of the football program. You will just be embarrassing yourself, the Church and the players!! You did it at Ricks(AKA BYU-Idaho now) so why not just do it in Provo too?

Of course, if they want to continue to suck every year and embarrass themselves to the world, I have no problem with that either!! It's just hard to believe that that is what they really want to do but by all appearances, that is indeed their goal!! So much for the football team being an extension of the Churches missionary program!! LOL!!

Why Does The Church Have To Clarify They Will Help You, Whether you are Mormon Or Not?

The real reason that they have to announce that the help is for everyone, whether they are Mormon or not, is because the Church began with a first vision in which Joseph Smith was told by Jesus Christ that every other religion was wrong and their creeds were an abomination in his sight and their professors were corrupt(false Prophets).

So, the Mormon Church just wanted to announce that it didn't matter if your were Mormon or part of one of the other "wrong or abominable Churches." Despite how they feel about you and your corrupt religion, they will help you. I think that's pretty nice of them to be helping others that belong to what they and Jesus consider to be abominations. Maybe they can convert them to the real truth that is approved of by God during the process of helping them?

They just wanted to clear up any confusion that may come from people that are familiar with the first vision and the beliefs that the Mormon Church was founded on, that's all. You have to admire them for helping out people, that according to Jesus and Joseph smith, belong to wrong, abominable Churches with corrupt False Prophets leading them.

I'm glad that they are doing what they are doing but in reality, if they wanted to, with the billions of dollars that they bring in from tithing and business ventures, they could be the new red cross of the planet. Like I said, I'm grateful for whatever anybody is doing to help these poor people that have been devastated, but if they really wanted to, they could send 5,000 trucks. If they were somehow short on funds, which we know they aren't, they could scale back their big mall reconstruction projects of a billion dollars, down to like $800 million. That would leave $200 million extra for humanitarian aid to these people. What's more important?

Also, they could postpone all temple and building construction for a year and divert all their funds to help these people. In other words, they could do anything that they want to do. Out of every other organization in the world, they should be able to do the most, especially since they consider themselves to be the one and only true Church of Jesus Christ on the entire planet. Shouldn't that make them the "leaders" at all times, not just during disasters, in taking care of the world?

I'll leave everyone with the Words of the beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley to the survivors of hurricane Mitch, just so that we can see what the Church considers the answer, to someones troubles in these types of situations.

"President Gordon B. Hinckley was very concerned for the victims of this disaster, many of whom lost everything—food, clothing, and household goods. He visited the Saints in the cities of San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa, Honduras; and Managua, Nicaragua. And like the words of the loving prophet Elijah to a starving widow, this modern prophet's message in each city was similar—to sacrifice and be OBEDIENT TO THE LAW OF TITHING.

But how can you ask someone so destitute to sacrifice? President Hinckley knew that the food and clothing shipments they received would help them survive the crisis, but his concern and love for them went far beyond that. Why Would The Mormon Church Need To Ask For More Donations For Hurricane Katrina Victims When They Are Already A Billion Dollar Corporation?!!

Also, why would they request that everyone give their money to them and not to the Red Cross? It's all about control once again. They want you to donate your money so that they can decide what to do with it. Maybe help the victims, put it in the billion dollar mall fund, whatever they want. They want to decide where it goes!!

People are donating all year long to the Mormon Church!! What the hell is that for if they now need more donations at the time of a tragedy. All the other money from fast offerings and tithing from the last 50 years is gone? All the money from their business ventures is gone? I see them as one of the predators that is taking advantage of a tragedy to ask for more money. All they need to do is sell their damn billion dollar mall!! Maybe that's why they appear to be so short on funds(we know they aren't.)

They would never ask you to donate directly to the Red Cross, hell no, that would take away their ability to control "your" money. Why would they do that? Oh, and by the way, unlike the Red Cross and other charities, we'll never be able to see any report of where exactly the money went, what it was spent on or who, if anybody, it helped.

Why? Because the Mormon financial books are secret, not just secret, top secret!! Even the Members that donate to this "non-profit", "tax exempt" organization of Jesus Christ himself, are unable to see where one penny of their money goes. Why? Cause they would be busted!! We are to just trust "God's anointed."

So, in other words, they answer to nobody apparently. I'd like to know what they pay their tax lawyers to ride that line of what is legal and what isn't in order to keep their tax exempt status alive and well. I'm sure they are exploiting ever loophole known to mankind!! I don't blame them for that, who wouldn't, but just show us what your doing, after all, you owe that much to the people that give up their food and in some cases, well being, to pay their 10% to the Church.

When Hinckley did his interview with the German reporter during the Olympics in 2002, he was asked why the Church didn't open their books up to the world like they do in other countries and here is how that exchange went:

All I can say is that I was a Member for over 30 years as many of us here and I doubt that any of us were able to sneak a peak at "that information."

So, what are we led to believe and know? That Gordon B. Hinckley is a very dishonest man, has a lot to hide and a damn liar. I think this is pretty indisputable!!

So, would I ever give one cent to the Mormon Church again, knowing that they never ever have to report to me where it goes? HELL NO!! The Mormon Church is no more honest on where the peoples money goes than the people that just create a website every time their is some type of tragedy!! My guess right now is that they are just asking for donations to try to recoup what they feel they have already sent out in the trucks.

Plus, all you "TBM's" out there, keep paying your regular tithing, fast offerings, mission fund, perpetual education fund, building fund, along with this new fund for this current tragedy. Like the September Ensign(Page 43) shows us, pay them $500 a month or more. After all, that is a very small price to pay for all of the blessings in your life that come directly from being a member of God's one and only true Church on the face of the earth.

My advice, give your money to any reputable charity, specifically the Red Cross, Salvation Army, instead of the Mormon Church for all of the reasons stated above. At least that way, you can be almost sure that it will actually help somebody and not just make the already rich Mormon General Authorities, even richer.

The Tragic Week That Was And Where The Mormon Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley Spent His Sunday!!

First I just want to say how sorry I am for the people of New Orleans, Mississippi and Alabama and for the suffering that is happening and has happened there. I can't even begin to fathom why such suffering is necessary by anyone in any part of the world at anytime. I have no idea why it happens, what part God plays in it, if any at all, or if basically, life happens and we deal with it the best we can. If it does happen to be God being pissed off, then why would he kill all of the innocents? I'm just talking of the top of my head right now and from my heart, nothing Biblical, nothing religious, just why? Why do these horrible things happen, why is it necessary for so many innocent people and children to die and suffer so much? A trial of their faith? Please!! It seems inhumane and wrong!! If God wanted to just take out the evil bad people, surely with his power of being God, he could do so, without killing all of the innocents? Does Satan have more power than God? You would think so the way some people talk!! I also don't buy the BS that they were needed more on the other side. They are in a better place and happier now, etc. Please!! That one has never flown with me!! So basically, their Family and children here didn't need them as bad as God did? They are happier without their Children and Families? Are you kidding? Why exactly would God need them anyway? For what?

It is my opinion that this is just a response that people use to try to make themselves somehow justify why someone they loved, has died while including God at the same time. People search for logical answers. They try to make sense of utter chaos when in reality, their is no sense to make. It is chaos and tragedy with no real answer as to why. They try to figure out a way that God was involved that will build up or create a good, maybe holy reason for the death of a loved one.

That's fine, if someone needs to believe that in order to survive, but I'm just saying, that I don't buy it, never have, never will. It just makes no sense!! My favorite Mormon response is that God must have some need for them on the other side to fight some war, they were needed to serve a mission or something. They say that God is calling home the most valiant people to help him fight some battle. (This was something that I just recently heard.) Again, in my opinion, that is total and complete BS!! What war is exactly, supposedly being fought? Didn't that big war already happen in the Pre-existence? What happened, a riot broke out in spirit prison? Let's get real!! Who would possibly need us on the other side when they are in heaven? Would God actually take someone out on earth because someone in Heaven was lonely and needed that person there? Do they go to God and say, "Hey, I miss my Son, daughter, Dad, etc and God says okay and causes a traffic accident? I say no way, that is absurd!!

If that ends up being the case, then God will have a lot of explaining to do to me and everybody else!! Even on the other side, I imagine that we won't forget our experiences and pain from earth. At least if we are indeed reunited with our loved ones, which I truly believe will happen, that should relieve some of the pain. I'm not sure that I would want to hang out with a God that purposely kills innocents when he could just zap the evil ones and leave the good ones. If he can intervene in catastrophic ways, why couldn't he intervene in smaller, more precise ways. It appears to me that God has little ability to do anything to prevent what happens on this earth. What happens, happens and we deal with it the best we can.

People have their free agency to do what they want. You would just think that god might be able to at least control something like the weather, but I guess not, at least I hope not!! If he really did cause this storm and took out New Orleans, then this God has some serious issues to deal with. I just think that we are pretty much on our own down here and we either survive, get lucky and live a long life, or we don't. I just don't think God is up there pulling strings, causing accidents, storms, making volcanoes erupt, earthquakes, Tsunamis, etc, killing people left and right. Maybe I just don't want to believe it, but in any case, I certainly hope that isn't true. It just makes no sense whatsoever!! If God really is this angry killer of innocents, I wouldn't want to meet him or live with him. It doesn't make sense that our loving Father would be destroying and killing Families and innocents just to enact revenge on some evil people or places.

Anyway, I've had a lot of thoughts this week as I've seen the incredible suffering that has taken place due to Hurricane Katrina and it is just awful. It makes what I'm doing here on my blog seem pretty small compared to so much suffering and death that is currently going on. At this point, I have no idea when or if God ever intervenes in this life and if he does, why and why not when something like this happens? We had the Tsunami last year now this...but where was God? Are his hands tied? Yet there are probably thousands of people that feel that God intervened and saved them. Did he? Did they save themselves and give the credit to God? What about all of those that died including many Children? I just don't get it and doubt I ever will, at least in this life. We've all had experiences at one point or another were we believe we were spared or protected by the hand of God. Did he really protect us or were we just lucky and everything just happened to work out? Let's just say that God did protect us and intervened, does that make us more special than those that he doesn't protect and save?

Are we his favored Children and those that died, well, he just didn't care about them or their sad, mourning Families? I'm not prepared to say that God favors me over anybody!! It just isn't right for me to say that. I've had many personal experiences in my life were I could have been a goner but I'm still here. Are those of us that are still here, here for some great purpose? A greater purpose than those that have died? So those that died had nothing left to accomplish? They fulfilled their purpose, so God took them home? I'm grateful to still be here but I'm not going to ever say anymore that God favored me, or thank God that he protected me because I'm better than someone else. If it is true, he favors those he saves, then great, I'll find out on the other side, but it just isn't something that I can accept anymore in this life. I just can't bring myself to say that I'm better than any of those poor people that have died and suffered so much this past week. So, those of us that remain on this planet are hear because we haven't fulfilled our purpose? Who knows? I'm just glad to be here whatever the reason is and hope to be hear for at least another 60 years or so. I'm just not sure that it's in God's hands as everyone says.

I look at it this way; it's kind of like when two sports teams are gonna play and they both pray to God that they'll win. One wins and one looses; did God pick the winner based on who had the best prayer, was more sincere or some other mystical reason? Some guys on the team that won, needed to win more than the guys on the other team? Even better yet, the team that won has better guys with less sin? I've heard that before!! Well, my opinion is that the God that doesn't stop Hurricanes, Tsunamis, Wars and earthquakes, sure as hell isn't going to be picking winners in sporting events. If he does, then count me out of his Kingdom on the other side. It's like finger nails down a chalkboard when after a sporting event, they interview the star player on the winning team and he says, "I first want to thank God for helping us win this game tonight"...blah blah blah...complete BS!! God had nothing to do with it, NOTHING!! I could be wrong but I doubt it!!

Also, I'm not leaving out the people that live in other parts of the world, such as Africa, that are starving to death, in the middle of Civil Wars, etc. There are so many all around the world that suffer and die everyday from various things. I guess the bottom line is that I'm very grateful that I've been able to overcome certain things and times in my life and that I'm still here, for whatever reason. If God has indeed blessed me for some reason, I thank God and he/she, will have to explain to me why their was intervention for me while so many didn't have the intervention, protection and died or suffered greatly and lost everything. I cling to the hope that someday, it will all make sense. I'm sure that it won't happen in this life, it will have to be in the next life which I do believe strongly in. So, like everything else, I guess we just need faith that someday it will all fall into place.

Anyway, back to reality for a minute and the reason that I started this blog. I just heard on the news that the Mormon Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley was in Samoa today, rededicating their new Samoan temple. Just for those that don't know, the last one caught on fire and burned to the ground, so they rebuilt it. (I guess it was God's plan) I'm sure it cost them many millions of dollars to rebuild that temple. Anyway, my question is, what the hell was Hinckley doing in Samoa dedicating a temple when we just suffered the greatest natural disaster in American History. Wasn't there someone in New Orleans, Mississippi or Alabama that could have used his comforting? After all, he claims to be God's Prophet, Seer and Revelator of the only one and true Church on the face of the planet. So he decides to fly out of the country and dedicate a temple in Samoa?!! I find it disgraceful!! If he was already still out of the country, he should have flown home immediately and rescheduled the temple dedication for a later date.

Where has he been or any of the Apostles or First Presidency, any General Authorities for that matter, since this disaster? Where are they? Jet-setting around the world doing official Church Business? Too busy to publicly comment on this disaster? If they have and I missed it, I do apologize but I haven't seen it, nothing!! I know that they put out press releases saying that they gave food, sent trucks, etc, but no public statements, no interviews? What an embarrassment!! I guess they are waiting for the moment in the sun at General Conference to express what they think. Then again, maybe they won't even talk about it. Too many other more important things to drill into everyones head, like pornography, tithing, etc.

To me, this further proves what I have been saying on this blog, that they aren't God's anointed and care very little for anything outside of their so called Church, Billion dollar empire/corporation, real estate investments and themselves. They are completely and totally disconnected from all reality!! I know that in the ward where I live, it was reported to me today that there was verily even a mention of the disaster and nothing at all from the Bishop or any counselors. Disgusting!! I can't believe that the Bishop of every Mormon ward in the world, every Church for that matter, wouldn't get up and talk about current events and to ask that everyone pray for these people. Again, why should I be surprised!! It should have come in the form of a letter from the First Presidency, something, anything, but nothing!! If God's anointed have nothing to say now, at this great time of need and comfort, then why should anyone care about anything else they have to say, ever? They are just spoiled rotten, rich frauds leading a fraud knowingly in order to gain more money and filthy lucre, that's it!!

No joke, the Mormon Church reminds me more and more of the movie, "The Village." The similarities and comparisons are stunning!! Everybody living in their own little world, barely even aware or seeming to care what is happening outside of their little Mormon community. Now I didn't say everyone, I'm just saying in general. You always have people that are just amazing people and they would be if they were Catholic, Lutheran, etc. They just happen to be Mormon and do amazing things as a Mormon but not because of their religion but because of who they are. I've always had the opinion that you have great Bishops and horrible Bishops based on who they were before they became Bishops. If they were a jerk before the calling, their a bigger jerk after being called to be a Bishop. The power and "Priesthood Authority" will go to the head of these types. The Bishops that were already cool beforehand, are cool after being called. If they had a great and tender heart before, they'll have one after. So once again, it all comes down to who they are, not what they are, what religion they are, etc. So whenever the Mormon Church has great people that just happen to be members, Bishops, etc, they should count their blessings as it makes the Church look good even though it isn't the Church, it's the person and the people.

Anyway, those are my thoughts for tonight, Sunday, September 4th, 2005. I have plenty of thoughts on the Church and what they have done for the victims of Hurricane Katrina VS. what they could be doing. I'm not ungrateful for what they or anyone has done, I'm just a realist and I will post those comments in a different post since this one is already so long. I guess I'll count this post as my Sunday night commentary on the week that has passed. Originally, that wasn't my intention, but it turned out that way. That's what I love about this blog and being able to express myself here; sometimes I start out with one thing in mind but take it in a totally different direction like I did tonight. Sometimes I don't even have in mind what I am trying to do as you can probably tell....LOL!! Just hang in there with me and hopefully by the end, it will all make sense.Sometimes, I just start writing and see where I end up. That is what I did tonight. Also, I've had a few requests to allow people to post comments but for now I'm going to still say no. My original point of this post was to make it mine. I've had some "TBM Trolls"(Current members that can't leave us Ex-Mormons alone) trying to taunt me and trying to undermine what I'm trying to do. They would just try to clutter this place up with ugly ridiculous comments and this blog isn't for them anyway. I know that I could delete their comments and that many of you would come to my defense or just the defense of what's right and defend the truth but that wasn't the point of this blog. For over 30 years, I was told what to think, how to believe, what to believe, what to say, what not to say, what to do, what not to do and now I'm free of all that. I just felt that I needed a place that was mine, to express what I feel, completely free of that oppressive force that I've dealt with the majority of my life. I hope that makes sense to everyone.

Hey Guys, I Got My First Hate Mail The Other Day And I Just Thought That I Would Share It With You!!

I'm not gonna give you this guys name because the things he wrote are so filled with false accusations and hate, that it would just be too great of an embarrassment for him. In short, it is ridiculous!! Keep in mind this guy doesn't know me from Adam or God, I mean Adam-God, whatever...Ha Ha!! I don't want to screw up his life by exposing to the world who he really is. I'm not here to embarrass people when they do a fine job of it all by themselves. One thing that is obvious though, is that he must not have spent much time reading my blog because he doesn't address one thing in it regarding the Church,it's false teachings, past racism and fraud.

His E-mail is a complete personal attack on me, someone that he has never met and someone that he has never even talked to. Let's just say that from what I know and have learned about this individual, he certainly isn't one to be attacking someone personally. I could reveal his identity and share all of the information that I know about him, but it would be open season on him and I don't think it's necessary or fair to him. Anyway, I just wanted to give you a little background on him before you read his E-mail. It is rather entertaining, so enjoy!! LOL!!

Now, while most "TBM's" aren't so "crazy" and "out of control", like this "lunatic", I do believe that most strong Mormons believe that people leave the Church because of sin. Why do they think this? Because they are programmed to think this. I heard it several times growing up in the Church and I too used to believe that. Of course, it could never be that they have discovered that the Church has lied about their history and they have found it to be a complete fraud. It has to be sin, just has to be!! It is obvious that this guy has bought into that theory hook line and sinker!!

For me, it all goes back to the First Vision, when Jesus told Joseph Smith that all Churches were an abomination. The Church may say they respect other religions and faiths but the reality is that they were founded on the fact that every other religion is false and abominable. So, I guess this guy is just preaching the hate that has been taught to him starting with the First Vision. It makes him feel superior to everyone else and all other religions. I do wish him the best and I sincerely hope that one day he can find his way to freedom!!

This guy is hilarious!! Well, that's it, my first hate mail and my response. I have some other responses from another site that were also rather humorous and I'll share them at a later time. I hope you guys enjoyed that. This guy is an example of how people can become so obsessed and self-righteous, that they actually feel good about accusing a stranger of Adultery. Keep in mind that this guy got off a mission within the last year. He doesn't seem like a very Christlike person to me. Apparently he learned nothing on his mission but how to unfairly judge people and how to be intolerant of anyone Else's beliefs, but specifically, anyone that may have left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If he learned any good lessons, it appears that he has forgotten them!! Hopefully, I'll be able to keep you all entertained for a very long time with my experiences. Another temple groundbreaking story involving Faust and donations!!

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Elder W. Craig Zwick of the Seventy and president of the Brazil Area remarked, "It was heartwarming to see about 50 buses that had been used to transport the people, and to see the people assembled on the hill; it was a multitude of faithful saints. The whole experience felt Pentecostal." Referring to a letter from an eight-year-old boy, who had worked hard to earn a $100 donation to help with the construction of the thirty new smaller temples announced in April conference, President James E. Faust observed that he and a man who sent in one million dollars that same day "[would both] be equally blessed for their faithfulness, regardless of the size of their donation" (Church News, 9 May 1998).

Well, with the Faust and gold fillings story in Brazil, Hinckley in Panama demanding tithing, Faust in Peru just a few weeks ago saying, “You have to earn another temple”, nothing should surprise us and we know just who these men are. I wonder how the little boy felt to hear that some man had sent a million dollars when he had scraped and sacrificed for a meager $100? They are greedy, disgusting thieves!! These men are cold, calculating and evil!! They literally rob from the poor, in the name of God, to give to the rich, themselves!!

Then you read or listen to the tithing talk by Elder Lynn G. Robbins Of the Seventy, from the April Conference where he says, "if a destitute family is faced with the decision of paying their tithing or eating, they should pay their tithing."

Then you look at Septembers Ensign and Friend magazines and guess what is covered? You got it, tithing!! The Church is obsessed with tithing and always will be. They just want more money, no matter how they get it or who they take it from. They'll buy gold fillings out of poor peoples mouths, show them around to congregations and take $100 from an 8 year old little boy, just to continue to build their palaces and further their kingdom of fraud, deception and greed!!

It is truly a very sad state of affairs!!
