The "Real" Reason For The Mormon Missionary Program!!

It really is brilliant!! They get 50,000 young men and women, along with their families, to pay out $10,000-$12,000, depending on how long their stay in the MTC is. Then, they send them out to convert as many people as possible and hopefully get maybe like 1 tithe payer out of 10 and if they're lucky, more than that, maybe 2 or 3. Plus, at the same time, they are hoping to have at least 25,000 out of every 50,000 missionaries returning as "perfect, die hard, never questioning, full-tithe paying, lifelong Morgbots, who will produce and raise more Morgbots!!" The only big expenses the Church has, is the Mission President's salary, his families expenses, a house and a car or two. Big deal!!

They also have to pay for their GA's/Seventies to fly in once in a while, stay in a five star hotel and then slam the missionaries for not baptizing enough and for being sinners and masturbators. However, even these things are paid for by the members in reality. The Church never really, truly has anything out of pocket!! With the tithing funds, they buy the homes, pay for the cars, the luxury rental cars, five star hotels, exquisite dining and the living expenses of these clowns, masquerading as God's servants.

Now, also keep in mind that these men laugh in their luxury, while missionaries are out busting their tail everyday and in many cases, suffering and living in deplorable, almost uninhabitable conditions, consuming contaminated food and water. It is the perfect scam, all in the name of God and ol'Joe!! Wouldn't Joseph Smith be proud of what he created!!

Everything else is basically paid for by the missionaries and their families, even the filmstrips, videos, etc. We had to buy EVERYTHING on my mission, which included all of the particulars needed, in order to defraud people into the cult. They provided us the list of things that we could/should buy the very night we arrived. So, it really is a clean deal and very low risk for The Church. It's true that they pay for some of the missionaries that can't afford it, but who actually pays for them? The members through donations, of course!!

They donate money to the mission fund along with every other fund. Let's see, fast offerings, tithing, building fund, missionary fund, ward fund, perpetual education fund, etc. Meanwhile, The Mormon Church can drop 3+ billion dollars on malls, build world trade centers, luxury resorts, football practice facilities, buy gaming preserves, cattle ranches, housing developments, etc.

In other words, they can afford that stuff but the missionaries, who literally carry The Church on their back, have to pay their own way!! What a scam!! You figure if 50,000 missionaries fork out an average of $11,000 every two years, that's $550 million!! Wow!! That's just in the missionary program!! The families of the missionaries are spending a lot more money than the Church to keep the missionary program going, that's for sure!! However, as I've already pointed out, whatever money the Church spends, it all came from members anyway, at some point, so again, no skin of their back and no money out of their pocket.

Now, If you look at what the Senior couples have to pay out, for the opportunity to Be Jesus' servants, Keeping in mind that they are not able to take advantage of the "equal payment plan;" some end up forking out thousands of dollars a month to clean the toilets and apartments of missionaries, vacuum and clean out mission cars and so on. Some have to sell or mortgage their homes in order to do what "the Lord" has called them to do. Many have health problems and leave their families, instead of being with their loved ones, at that point in their lives, to "do what the Lord hath commanded." It is a travesty!! It should be a crime and the Mormon Hierarchy should be accordingly charged.

The Churches monetary risk is basically non-existent as with everything else, as the members are flipping the bill. The Church is just hoping to get enough full-tithe payers out of the deal to make it worth the hassle. Plus, it's all about image and appearing that they really care so very much about converts. The missionary program is great for appearances and helps them to perpetuate their fraud and brag about how many missionaries they have, in so many countries, etc.

But, the bottom line, as with everything in the Church, is MONEY!! MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!! If they didn't think that the mission program was generating enough revenue, they would just bag it!! To quote Mr. Mack(He's the suit peddler for Mormon missionaries in Utah), usually the first commercial after a conference session(for those from Utah); I guarantee it!! LOL!!

I bet that's why all these countries loves us and allow us in, it's all about the money and stimulating an entire countries economy. The Church probably sits down with the decision makers or money men of each country and shows them the numbers and economic impact that The Mormon Church will have, and so they let them in, especially in countries full of poverty. It has absolutely nothing to do with God's spirit inspiring them to let the Church in, as the Church likes to talk about, as being the reason they are in so many countries across the globe.

It's all about dollar signs baby!! If the Mormon God is blessing the leaders of other countries with anything, it is American Dollars, not the spirit!! I wouldn't even be surprised, if maybe some extra money is being exchanged, or paid under the table, if that is what it takes!! Make sense doesn't it?!!

No one ever said you had to be honest or intelligent to have an opinon about the LDS Church.

Nowhere did Jesus ever say the Church proper had to be poor. Even in the four gospels there is mention of a treasurer and money keeps among the disciples who counted donations, paid for expenses, and managed the early funds of the church.

Do I care if the LDS church turns a profit on investments, or that it makes investments in property, commercial real-estate, or in businesses? Not at all, in fact I'd find it to be a poor steward of sacred funds if it did not do all it could to legally increase the value of it's holdings.

We are not suppose to hide our talents in the ground, but are counted good and worthy when as Jesus said, take his funds to the money changers (stock markets and bankers of the day). And increase the value of his funds. And as you mentioned in another post about gambling, contrary to your post the church does advise members not to take part in day trading and speculative investments. i

The LDS is also known to excommunicate people who deal falsely with others in business, or try to steal from others using their church position or connections. In short they do teach to not to gamble with your own money or to defraud others.

Yes the church builds amazing buildings and temples, as do every other church on earth. People like nice places to meet, are LDS members some how less worthy of having a decent building to meet in simply because you hate the church and it's leaders? I for one am glad to see effective money management and investment done by the LDS church. It's simply a wise thing to do.

Thank you for clarifying my suspicions that everything the Mormon Church does is motivated by the dollar!! It's the biggest fraud and scam on the planet and run by biggest scums as well.

Today, I even was thinking that there's a price to pay if any of the church members offer assistance to someone in need. I would think that they're looking at the return investment of that person's tithe plus other family member's tithe - so in one household of three working people at minimum wage -the return for helping them get on their feet could be a return of about $300 month in tithe - a pretty good on an investment of some time and resources. Then, that times how others are "helped out" - is a nice return - then to invest that in real estate.

As I told someone, those in authority in the Mormon Church don't care about truth at all -- as it might cost them. So, they would agree that 1+1=5 in a heartbeat before sacrificing financially.

Thanks again for sharing the truth!!

Wow. In fact, the missionary program loses money every year. The vast majority of missionaries who go out on missions are not able to subsidize the cost of their missions, and to be frank, the majority of missionaries cannot afford (and therefore do not pay) the full $375 a month. So, the church actually subsidizes these costs, unlike what you actually think. It is too bad that you haven't actually checked your facts. I find it impressive that you would run a blog and not actually have done your research.

This guy knows his stuff. I can't imagine how this cult can fool so many people. I know they're not stupid. Is it brainwashing? Probably. What a wast of life.

I would encourage what you already have been told and check your facts. The SEC has audited the Church a number of times trying to look for fishy things, and what do they find? Every cent accounted for and used for good and just causes. FYI whatever money mission presidents recieve is purely living expenses (again ask the SEC) same as Gereral Authorities. Most have to walk away from lucrative businesses of their own to serve the Lord, they get nothing for it in compensation. Again, don't post anything based on hearsay.

The real fact are that the high priests group is asked to "donate" a certain amount each month to subsidize current missionaries if their family cannot afford it.

This is true--my husband (tbm) was branch pres of a spanish-speaking branch and the stake pres told him to do this. If the hp couldn't afford it--he was told to ask the members of the elder's quorum.

I know people that have been released from their callings for not supporting their son/daughter financially on his/her mission..

It is all about the "almighty buck" for real.

Thanks

Alma 24: 30
30 And thus we can plainly discern, that after a people have been once enlightened by the Spirit of God, and have had great knowledge of things pertaining to righteousness, and then have fallen away into sin and transgression, they become more hardened, and thus their state becomes worse than though they had never known these things.

someone said that he/she doesn't know how the mormon church fools so many people. First off, the mormon church itself if being fooled. Only possibly Joseph Smith, who created it, wasn't being deceived. All that followed him were deceived. So the deception is coming from somewhere else, somewhere other than men. It's a SPIRITUAL deception. And, if you think about it, only by a spiritual deception could such an obvious fraud be accepted at true. Don't hate the mormons, pray for them, ALL of them.

I am not an LDS member but live in a neighborhood that is primarily LDS. I read your blog because I was interested in learning more but I only see that you have been jaded by how LDS stewarts handle the churches money. As a catholic, I would expect any church to handle its finances like a business if it intends to survive into the future, so why shouldn't LDS. You say that members in higher rankings live lavishly in church purchased homes and cars and I wonder why shouldn't they since their lives are dedicated to the promotion and existence of the LDS church. I am suprised that you focus on other areas of the LDS that would make you walk away from it such as lack of evidence including DNA linkage between the indians and jewish tribes, zero archeological findings supporting the existence of the indian nation, facts about Joseph Smith that are documented and archived. As of now, I don't intend to convert because I would not be able to believe Joseph Smith was a prophet or even worse that the Mormon Bible is true. But, I can say, the Mormons I know have inspired me to more knowledgable about Christianity and I will not bash or condemn them because of their religious beliefs. Like myself, they only wish to believe in the truth and to serve a god that, someday, we will all answer to. Its ok to leave a church if you can no longer believe in it, but keep your faith in god.

God Bless.

The Real Question should be why other churches can't do the same thing, how come they can't get their youth to give up their savings and 2 years of their life to serve the lord.

Answer: By their fruits you shall know them.

per capita the mormon church is the richest, and most profitable church in the world and has been for over 10 years (forbes magazine) 10% of gross domestic earnings of members is donated to the mormon church (excluding missionary fund, fast offerings, and other funds)
suprisingly utah is number one on filings for bankruptcy for 2007, 2005, 2004 ect... averaging close to one bankruptcy for every 35 homes, compare that to vermont which averages one bankruptcy for every 150+ homes.
I would say the mormon church is very good at what they do!!
